Case Studies

"In my role as Equipment Manager, I have used the services of Shawcity for ten years for all of our gas monitor calibrations, services and repairs. The service engineers are always happy to answer queries and take time to talk me through issues over the phone. I find the whole Shawcity team extremely friendly and efficient. Nothing ever seems too much trouble, even when under pressure and working to tight deadlines."

SVAN 971 with 1/1 and 1/3 Octave Analysis

The 971 is our smallest Class 1 IEC 61672 Sound Level Meter and it offers 1/1 & 1/3 octave analyser. The instrument uses state of the art technology which enables us to offer so much in such a small instrument.

The new user interface of this instrument makes measurement configurations as easy as possible ensuring this is an ideal choice for industrial hygiene noise measurements, short period environmental noise measurements, acoustics consultancies, technical engineers dealing with noise issues and general acoustics noise measurements.

The SVAN 971 provides broad band results with all required weighting filters plus 1/1 octave & 1/3 octave spectra.

The instrument also offers huge time history logging capability providing broad band results and spectra with adjustable double (long and short) logging steps. Audio recording and data are stored on a micro SD card and can be easily downloaded to a PC (with provided SvanPC++ software) over USB interface.

The instrument can be easily calibrated in field using acoustic calibrator. Built-in algorithm automatically activates the calibration process whenever an acoustic calibrator is installed on microphone

With a robust (IP65), pocket size casing, this instrument is an excellent tool for anyone who deals with acoustic measurements.
